Mayor Robin Elackatt hand out the championship trophy for Houston United Malayalee Soccer Club

Texas: On Memorial Day, Houston United Malayalee Soccer Club held its internal tournament in Missouri City, Texas. The 2022 Internal tournament, had six teams that played for the championship trophy. Missouri City Mayor Robin Elackatt handed out the championship trophy to the winners.
Houston United Malayalee Soccer Club was founded in 2012 by a group of soccer loving friends in Missouri City, TX. This club has been around for a long time due to its strong leadership and values. The club also make it a point to give back to the community with having summer camps for boys and girls along with their charitable contributions to the community at large. The Chairman and President of the Club also stated that the clubs goals are very simple. “We are a team of professionals from all backgrounds; as a team, we focus on strong community participation and fosters healthy living, engages in fund raising activities, and holds several social events.”
Mayor Elackatt congratulated the entire players for their great spirit of team companionship. During the trophy distribution, Mayor Elackatt asked all the team to participate in a moment of remembrance for the fallen heroes on Memorial Day.
Chairman Prince Chunkathara addressed the team and gave special thanks to the committee members Albin Rajan, Ashanth Jacob, Ajith Nair, Robin Joy, Thomas Varkey, Shejin Boban, Suvin K. Varkey, Clifford Philips, Paul Stephen, and George Mathew for their help to put on this tournament.
