Mr. Abraham also reminded the meeting that although Congress leaders were not present at the gathering, the party has a great legacy, creating the first NRI ministry in Kerala in 1996, “I worked with Mr. M.M. Hassan, NRK Minister, and Mr. Gigi Thompson when they visited the U.S. seeking for foreign direct investments.” He further implored the Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly to use his good offices to bring about a consensus regarding the absence of the opposition. With the opposition support, these gatherings will be more successful,” Mr. Abraham stated.
