The Knanaya Catholic Women's Forum of Canada (KCWFC) hosted its annual Women's Day event, celebrating the essence of womanhood and sisterhood. With over 60 women from across the region in attendance, the event, titled "SHE – The Power," was a resounding success.
The day commenced with engaging icebreaker games, followed by a moment of prayer. A thought-provoking session on work-life balance provided valuable insights, while an interactive sewing workshop equipped participants with practical skills such as quick alterations and fixing a saree fall at home. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a series of fun activities, ensuring a lively and dynamic atmosphere from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Over a shared meal, attendees reflected on the importance of prioritizing oneself, maintaining strong connections, and, most importantly, supporting and uplifting one another.
In addition, to enhance participation, the KCYL "Career Guidance Meet" was strategically scheduled at a nearby venue, less than five minutes away. This thoughtful coordination allowed mothers and children to attend their respective events, making the day even more accessible and inclusive. The local association team (KCAC), in collaboration with KCWFC and KCYL, played a pivotal role in aligning schedules and ensuring seamless execution.
A heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the following who contributed their time and effort to making this Women's Day celebration both memorable and inspiring:
