Chicago: AMICOS North America proudly announces the confirmation of Dr. Neena Eapen of Maryland as its new Vice-President. Dr. Eapen assumes the role following the passing of Dr. M. Anirudhan, who had been serving as Vice-President of the organization.
With her deep commitment to community service and her professional expertise, Dr. Eapen is expected to bring renewed energy and vision to the Board. While the Vice-President’s term spans four years, Dr. Eapen will serve the remaining two years of the current term.
Strengthening Leadership through New Appointments
Alongside Dr. Eapen’s appointment, the Board has also filled several other vacant positions and announced important role transitions to further strengthen its leadership team:
New Appointments
• George Kuncheria (Houston) — South Regional Coordinator
• Annie Kaleekal Jacob (Canada) — East Canada Regional Coordinator
• Roy Antony (New Jersey) — Local Chapter Coordinator
• Baiju Thomas (Washington, DC) — Local Chapter Coordinator (transitioning from Auditor role)
• Mathew Chamakala (New York) — Local Chapter Coordinator
Leadership Changes & Transitions
• Mohan Samuel (PA)— appointed as Auditor
• Saji Philip (NJ) — appointed as Fundraising Chair, in addition to his current role as North-East Regional Coordinator
• Roland Gomez (Chicago) — will now serve as Illinois Local Chapter Coordinator
These changes reflect AMICOS North America’s commitment to building a stronger, more representative leadership that spans regions across the U.S. and Canada.

Founded in 2008, AMICOS North America is a sub-chapter of the larger AMICOS Alumni Association, which is rooted in Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
