Mount Prospect, Illinois — Registration is now underway for the inaugural Malayalee Pickleball League (MPL), an exciting sporting initiative organized by the Chicago Friends Club (CFC) to promote pickleball among the Malayalee community across North America. Scheduled for December 19, the league promises a day of competitive sports, community engagement, and cultural celebration.

Pickleball, one of the fastest-growing sports in North America, continues to attract players of all ages and skill levels. With the launch of MPL, the Chicago Friends Club aims to bring together pickleball enthusiasts from across the continent, creating an exciting platform for friendly competition, community participation, and the promotion of an active lifestyle.

The league is being organized on an ambitious scale, featuring a $10,000 cash prize—the largest cash prize offered in the history of local tournaments, according to the organizers. The event will take place at The Picklr in Mount Prospect, Illinois, a newly opened, world-class pickleball facility.

The response to the tournament has been encouraging, with teams from various parts of North America beginning to register within just days of registration opening. Organizers are enthusiastic about the growing interest and anticipate broad participation from the Malayalee community and pickleball players from different regions.

MPL will feature two competitive divisions: Open Division and Women’s Division. Designed to encourage wide participation, the league welcomes players of all experience levels and ages, offering an opportunity for both seasoned competitors and newcomers to take part in the excitement.
