On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the Chicago KCS Women’s Forum hosted its much-anticipated Holiday Bash at Belvedere Banquets in Elk Grove Village. The event brought together the vibrant women of the community for a warm and festive celebration of the season.
The event kicked off with a cocktail hour, where attendees had the chance to capture memories with photographer Monu Varghese. Our dedicated charity team—Dr. Liya Kunnassery, Jyothi Alappat, and Rejimol Valloor—led the registration and check-in.
The program began with a welcoming introduction from Joint Secretary Jane Mundaplackil, setting the tone for an enjoyable day. Guests participated in a fun icebreaker game led by Becky Idiyalil, Jetsy Idiyalil, and Dr. Mekha Thandacheril. This was followed by a beautiful prayer song by Nikhila Vallattil and Karishma Parayil.
Women’s Forum Secretary Mannu Thirunelliparambil then delivered the warm welcome speech, and President Shanil Vettikattu shared an inspiring address. The event continued with a grand inauguration speech by KCS President Jose Anamalayil, followed by Vice President Jinu Nediyakalayil’s introduction of the subcommittee members. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked an important moment of unity.
The event included heartfelt felicitation speeches from Teena Neduvampuzha and former Women’s Forum President Tosmy Kaithakkathottiyil, who shared their gratitude and encouragement for the group’s continued growth.
Jane Mundaplackil concluded the program with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation for the sponsors who made the event possible:
Sponsors: Reena Madathil (Kairali Foods), Prathibha Thachet, Siju Koovakattil, Jaymol Mundaplackil, Thankamma Nediyakalayil, Dr. Deepa Thirunelliparambil, and Rajani Pallikunnel
Afterward, attendees had a blast playing two engaging games: the Scavenger Hunt, organized by the Activities and Fitness team (Dr. Maryanne Nellamattathil, Sanitha Marangattil, Merin Thannichuvattil, Neena Kunnathukizhakkethil, Neethu Chakkalapadavil, and Reshmi Mundupalthinkal), and the Music Trivia, led by the Social Media team (Ann Varsha Vilangukallel, Ann Thottichira, Lidia Myalkarapurath, and Merlyn Jose Mathew).
The event also featured a delightful array of food, including Indian appetizers by Kairali and a selection of American banquet-style dishes such as Herb roasted salmon and chicken parmesan. Everyone enjoyed the meal as the soothing melodies from Monachan’s sound system created a serene and enjoyable atmosphere for the afternoon.
With 200 ladies in attendance, the Holiday Bash was a joyous and memorable occasion, filled with friendship, laughter, and community spirit.
