Another contentious US President election is over and the people have spoken and elected Donald John Trump as the 47th US President. This is very historic since this is the first time in US history, that the same person has been elected twice as US president. Trump was the 45th US President but lost to Joseph Biden after his first term and now historically he is elected one more time to be the 47th US President. 
The Nation is divided, people in both parties are still angry at each other, there is enough finger pointing at party leaders for their horrible mistakes, violence, ignoring the laws of the Nation, committing crimes and found guilty of crimes by one party leader.  Poor immigration policies, inflation, conflicts in the Middle East and Russian Ukraine wars, increase of crime & poor conditions in certain cities due to poor leadership by another party leader. Both Republican and Democratic party and their leaders are to blame for many problems the Nation faces.

One party is for gun rights when other party is for gun control, one party supports abortion with little restrictions and the other party is against all abortions including incest, rape etc., one party is for climate control and the other do not believe in climate control, one too soft on illegal immigration and the other too strict on all kinds of immigration etc. The leaders and politicians in both major parties are not willing to come together and iron out their differences for the good of the Nation. Most policies are approved strictly on party affiliation rather than common understanding or willingness to compromise on very important issues.
America is a great Nation compared to all other Nations in the world. It is still arguably the Nation with the strong economy in the world. This is the only Nation that help other Nations doing their difficult times. This is the only Nation that allows others to come and make a decent living. This is the only Nation that gives so much freedom to its citizens, allow everyone to work and make a decent living, allow everyone to worship according to their choice and enjoy life. This Nation has blessed many other poor Nations in the world and always shows compassion and mercy to the poor and needy around the world.
Despite all disagreements on issues such as political, moral, judicial, racial etc., it is hard to find another country anywhere in the world that treat people better, accept people as they are, give the freedom when it comes to religion, worship, education and opportunities. Where in the world can you get world class health care, plentiful food to eat, better technology, better hygiene, better highways, better life? So let us pray for this wonderful Nation and its leaders for our good.
Regardless of our party affiliation, we must all support the leaders elected by the people and respect the result of the election. We all have a serious responsibility to pray for the leaders of this great Nation, so that they will be used by God per His plan and purpose rather than the choice of the party itself. No political parties or their elected leaders are perfect. Many are greedy, selfish, and arrogant and some even encourage violence to get into leadership.
The Bible says, “I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good and it is pleasing in the sight of God, our Savior” (1st Timothy 2:1 to 3). Our National, State or Local leaders are holding high positions and we must pray for them each day, so that God will give them wisdom and understating to make and enforce the correct laws and policies which will help the Nation to be peaceful, progressive and productive.
A bad leader will lead the Nation to confusion, conflicts, calamities, and crimes and eventually to violence, wars, economic depression and to a Nation to total failure. Regardless of the party support, the powerful people in the cabinet, the support of the richest person in the world, the President needs the help of a higher power to be successful. That help is available to those in leadership who fear God, seek His face for direction, and do His will and  rule per God’s will.
On January 20, 2025, Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Roberts will recite the oath to President Trump while the president will place his right hand on the “ Holy Bible” and will conclude the pledge with the most powerful words” SO HELP ME GOD”. God’s help and grace are so vital for any leader to lead the Nation to unity, peace, progress, strength, prosperity, respect and to be great.
Let the presidents words heal the Nation, actions unite the Nation, decisions prosper the Nation, policies produce positive results, character mend relationships, kindness show compassion to poor and needy and his heart be thankful to almighty God. Our sincere intercession for the Nation, the President and leaders are required by God and we must support, pray and respect our leaders whether we agree with or not because we all love this great Nation. Let us pray sincerely for president Trump and this great Nation.
