The Knanaya Catholic Women’s Forum of Canada (KCWFC) made history with its first-ever International Women’s Cruise, a milestone celebration of sisterhood, empowerment, and friendship.
From February 27 to March 3, forty women from across Ontario flew into Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where their exciting journey began. They boarded a cruise bound for the stunning Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, enjoying breathtaking views, shared laughter, and unforgettable moments along the way.
This landmark event was envisioned by Sheena Kizhakkepurathu, KCWFC Joint Secretary, and brought to life through the dedication and leadership of Neetha Makil, KCWFC Vice President, Feona Mannathumakil, KCWFC Treasurer, and Maria Kaitharam, KCWFC Secretary. Months of meticulous planning and preparation went into making the cruise a reality, including designing custom shirts for all participants—an extra touch that made the journey feel even more special and unified.
A highlight of the trip was KCWFC’s first-ever International Women’s Day program aboard a cruise ship on international waters. The celebration was filled with music, games, laughter, and moments of reflection, honoring the strength, faith, and resilience of women.
More than just a vacation, the cruise became a space where women supported and uplifted one another, strengthened friendships, and celebrated the power of community. KCWFC would also like to thank the Knanaya Catholic Association of Canada (KCAC) for their unwavering support and encouragement, which made this empowering experience possible.
The KCWFC Women’s Cruise truly made waves and set the stage for many more empowering journeys to come.
