Regardless of our political stand or support, we should be all proud of Neal Katyal, who is the son of an Indian immigrant parents. He argued the pet project Tariff of President Trump in front of the US Supreme Court, argued, presented reasons and convinced six of nine Supreme Court Justices to rule against Tariff which was a crushing defeat for US President  Donald Trump.
I am so proud of this fifty six  (56) year old Yale Law School American lawyer and legal scholar, who is the son of Punjabi immigrants Pratibha, his mother a pediatrician and late Surender, his dad who was an engineer. Neal Katyal is married to Joanna Rosen, a physician.

 Neal Katyal
He was born on March 12, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois, educated at Yale Law School, graduate in high honor and became a powerful US lawyer. Can you believe his hourly rate is almost $3, 250.00 as a lawyer? I do not belong to any political party and I am an independent voter, who likes to support and vote candidates with decency, character and moral values. I have voted for candidates on both parties based on my principles.
As an Indian immigrant, I thought we should be proud of our people coming to this Country, going to school, learn well and become very successful doctors, engineers, lawyers, scientists and even politicians.
On February 20, 2026, The US Supreme Court handed this Indian origin attorney and former acting US Solicitor General, Neal Katyal a decisive victory. In a six to three decision, the court struck down President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariff ruling that he has exceeded the authority under the International Emergency Economic Power Act ( IEEPA).
Mr. Katyal stated after the victory, “Presidents are powerful, but our Constitution is more powerful”. This is not an easy task for anyone to go to the US Supreme Court and face nine Justices in the court and answer the tough questions and debate the views of the opposite attorney in front of the Supreme Court justices and convince them to overrule the US President, when some of those justices are even appointed by the same US President.
So no one is above the law or Constitution of this Nation. This is a good lesson for anyone who is violating the law of the land. No one in this Nation can make up their own laws and ignore the Courts or the Constitution. Not only in this Nation, all leaders must follow and abide the written laws, policies and constitution of a Nation, a religious organization, educational organization or major business organizations. This will avoid many conflicts and run things peacefully. Violation of laws and policies by leaders will lead to chaos, confusions, conflicts and major consequences.
Let us all be proud of this Indian immigrant regardless of our party affiliation or loyalty. Let our people in this Nation be elevated to higher positions and may be one day to a Supreme Court Justice or to be the President of United States of America. We must rejoice when people from India come to this country and through their hard work, education and efforts become very powerful business men, politician, lawyer, judges or any other prestigious positions. Mr. Katyal, we are so proud of you. Hope you will accomplish many more major victories arguing cases for both political parties and organizations. Hope you will be appointed one day as a US Supreme Court justice. God bless.
